Default ITT I get tricky with hooks

Villain is a 30/24 sLAG who is generally pretty sLAGgy but can sometimes go into c/call mode, especially bvb.. He probs sees me as a super-standard TAG, maybe a good one. I've been two to his left this session and have been 3betting the shit out of his button raises because his button pfr is like 40%. He's folded to all 4-5 of my 3bets so far.

I thought that given stacks it would be bad to 3bet pre because he'd have sufficient manouvering room to 4b/fold, allowing him to play pretty close to perfectly. I though there was also the chance the shortie to my left would squeezeshove.

    $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Holdem

    Stacks:
    UTG 666angelique ($16.65)
    UTG+1 maxioliver ($75.62)
    CO AlienOne ($50.44)
    BTN Hero ($68.60)
    SB mamguilla ($9.71)
    BB GrantNY ($48.57)

    Pre-Flop: ($0.75, 6 players) Hero is BTN
    666angelique calls $0.50,
    maxioliver raises to $2.25
    ,
    1 fold,
    Hero calls $2.25,
    mamguilla goes all-in $9.71, 1 fold,
    666angelique folds,
    maxioliver calls $7.46,
    Hero raises to $25,
    maxioliver goes all-in $75.62, Hero calls $43.60 ...

No problem with this. You're getting 2.5:1 on your call and you are not a 2:1 dog vs even the tightest range. He played it right if he's got a monster. And you played it fine. IMO, you'll get shoves over from worse, like TT or AJ to your backraise. Certainly getting shoves from AK/AQ vs similar opponents in my games. Let's be honest, you're at the top of your range for doing what you did. Dead money = snap.
Playing live . . . thanks alot Bin Laden.

Yeah as the action went you definately have to call. Ranges aren't overly strong and there's tons of dead money and you have a strong hand.

I'm not sure about the initial call instead of 3bet.

Yeah, I like this and the preflop call. He's been pretty tight so far to 3-bets plus he's opened in MP so he probably percieves your range for 3-betting him as more value-ish in this spot given he's isoed an utg limper from MP, so yeah, you probably can't 3-bet for value and if he 4-bets we have to fold. If it's CO or BU vs blinds it's probably better to 3-bet for value and ship over a 4-bet given history.
