Default JJ on BTN vs aggro CO I'm unsure of.

Villian was running ~45/38 over 70ish hands at the time and was very aggro with made hands post flop. I'm running 24/22 at this table FWIW.

Also please note that this is the 4th time I had 3 bet him in the last 35 or so hands, he had called evry time and folded to a c-bet each time, though I had an over pair or TP all 3 of those times. So I'm aware of the chance he's attempting to trap me.

This is the first time he had called on the flop and I bet half pot in case he decided to c/r me here. Turn was same reasoning because nothing had really changed on the board and I'm betting for value here with every intention of folding to a c/r. And I don't think he's checking twice with something that beats me, imo.

Look OK? Should bet sizing be different?

    Hero (BTN) ($67.15)

    Pre-flop: ($0.75, 5 players) Hero is BTN
1 fold, CO raises to $1.75, Hero raises to $4.50, 2 folds, CO calls $2.75

    Flop: ($9.75, 2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $5.87, CO calls $5.87

    Turn: ($21.49, 2 players)
    CO checks, Hero bets $10.74

I 3-bet more and c-bet more. He floats you with a lot of worse hands. He folds no PPs and probably not many AX hands.
Just dipping my toes back in.

Really? I am never folding here.

Bet sizing isn't that important here just as long as you get all the money in by the river. Half-pot, half-pot, jam river works great here imo.

3bet bigger, but bet sizing in relation to the pot size is goot. sets up a good river shove size.
eeevees are not monies yet...they are like baby monies.

we still have a really easy river shove with the bet sizes that he used.

For those who bet/call the turn, why are you assuming (with our reads) than villain is going to c/bomb worse boats/air?

yeah your right, for some reason I thought this was 100nl and he was isoing rather than 3 betting pre.

Yeah, no need to 3-bet big here! You're repping a very strong range and have good position. We really want to widen his call range here and build a really big pot he can pwn himself in.

The proper counter to his very loose openers is to mix up flatting and small 3-bets when we have playable cards and position on him. Then he must outplay you out of position, tighten up or give you a shitload of Skylansky bucks.

    Thanks all.

Although he was laggy over a small sample, I can't say he was playing bad/awful. He was giving everyone else fits it seemed except for me. But I was the only one at the table that wasn't what I consider loose/passive and I did have position on him. Just one of those hands, where I couldn't imagine him flatting my 3 bet again pre without something.

JL-Although I said I'd b/f turn. This was posted a 1/2 hour after the hand, and I'm not sure if I do fold to any resistance from him. I think I leveled myself a lil during this hand.

I think my biggest mistake, to me, although not a huge one was: I think a lil bigger flop bet would have been better. My default is bigger, but I was thinking pot control at the time. And if he calls a 1/2pot bet on flop, I think he calls a 2/3 pot bet on flop. So I lost a little value there.

Also I think my 3 bet is within a standard range size wise. Sometimes I pot it, sometimes I 3x it, some times I 2 1/2x it etc. Does that sound about right?
