JJ, three-way action

    Default JJ, three-way action

Not sure about this one. CO is 68/15, aka a donk. BB is a 47/2 calling station and takes hands too far. Given preflop, I don't think I can credit either one with having the boat here.

What's your river action? Blocking bet? If so, how much? Or do I check and let a missed draw bluff off the rest?

    Stack sizes:
    UTG: $87.80
    Hero: $113.30
    CO: $61.95
    Button: $91.05
    SB: $156.95
    BB: $99.85

    Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG+1 with J J
UTG calls, Hero raises to $4, CO calls, 2 folds, BB calls, UTG folds.

    Flop: 4 9 6 ($13.5, 3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $10, CO calls, BB calls.

    Turn: 9 ($43.5, 3 players)
BB checks, Hero checks, CO bets $26, BB calls, Hero calls.

    River: 6 ($121.5, 3 players)
    BB checks, Hero ???

A worse hand isn't calling your bet, so I don't think a blocking bet is your best choice here. Check/call or check/fold here I think. I really don't think you're good here though.

Meh...I guess I'm thinking I should valuebet if I think MHIG. If CO sticks his last $22 in I'm calling anyway, and I don't think I have to worry about a c/r from BB...

why? the board is double paired and they are both pretty loose

I think checking here is good and see what BB does. If BB has the boat he'll more likely raise you off your hand, and if he had a 6 he might've bet the flop or the river. I don't know how you can fold the river here, as CO could just as easily have a missed flush draw or middle pair.

I guess it would be more correct to say "given the action". I don't think trip 9s are betting the turn this weakly and I think a 6 drops it here if he didn't on the flop. 44 is betting harder here too, methinks

    Turn: 9 ($43.5, 3 players)
BB checks, Hero checks, CO bets $26, BB calls, Hero calls.

I'm more inclined to think draw/other pp.

So consensus so far is check/call, it appears...

I understand they're bad but you have two callers on a near pot sized flop bet. As the hand goes it's obvious BB is on a flush draw but what are the chances that the CO called the flop without a 6 or a 9?

If you check here you get two opponents making their plays before you assuming CO raises. And if you're calling him anyway let him push. That way even if you assume BB won't make a c/r you know for sure as he will have to call or fold before it's your decision.

    ftro...

I bet CO's remaining stack, he folded, BB called with 88.

rofl, nice read. I was going to say that overcalling is insane there, but I'm guessing you pushed CO off the best hand.

    no way, CO won't fold a 9 or a 6 here ever

as in CO only calls a better hand? I agree.

Overcalling is NOT bad here, as if BB calls you have his range beat. You're only worried about what CO in that instance and let him fire away in an attempt to steal the pot.

So you guys think that CO couldn't smooth call with a 6 here and fold to a re-raise in this 3-way pot? Obviously he's not folding a 9.
I just don't see why Hero reraised CO off his hand if he thinks that he's not folding a 6 or 9 (in which case there's no point in raising and he should simply call because he has the best hand)

Against these opponents and given all the draws out there I wonder if its better to bet than check turn - anyone agree?

My thought on checking the turn was that if CO had trips/boat he'd bet close to pot, or that if BB had it he'd lead or c/r. I didn't want anyone hiding behind my bet.
