King High Flush

What's up FTR! Been a while since I made a post. I still am on the forum almost everyday and learning a ton. I play NL$200 6max and have been playing at Martins poker lately. I've come across this situation a lot recently. I have a king high flush and on the river I bet and get reraised. There is no pair on the board so the only hand that can beat me is an ace high flush. Like a wuss I have been just calling the reraise afraid that the other player might have an ace high flush. The odds of this happening are so low I should be reraising in this situation everytime unless I have a really strong read on them, right? Even if I have a strong read on them and I know they have an ace high flush should I still call?

yes the odds of them having it are very low. i often win flushes with jack, queen and king high flushes. if you have a good read, reraise. if you are really scared about the ace then just call but i highly doubt they have it very often. (maybe it's different at 200nl, i play at 50nl).

Here is an example of what I am talking about. mr-nurse was loose-passive and almost never raised unless he was really strong. Should I have raised him for the rest of his chips(he only had about 30 euro left)?

Maybe calling is a better play with a puny 7 high flush, but when you have the second nuts I would never slow down, push the river since he WILL call with anything now that he has pot committed himself. He can't put you on the flush so sets, two pairs, and straights all will call. Q or J high flushes will also call as well as any flush at all.

i think you induced a bluff by playing the hand so weakly before the river. I would pound this flop as it's huge for you. then you make your flush, which you should also bet solidly, say 2/3 pot.(as you can see a fullhouse could stack you if board pairs) river, most of the time, u should just call here, because even if you do have the best hand, its unlikely that a worse hand will call your raise, because you really can't be bluffing. However, if I had played the hand as you did and made really tiny bets, I would definitely re-raise this river, as he can't put you on a hand as strong as you have.

bet more before river, as ender said. 3 betting river doens't excite me with K high flush, especially if the flop was two tone. If you've made some random runner flush you could maybe 3 bet river.

Did you actually ask if you should call if you know you're beat? No, don't do that.

Thanks a lot for all your replies. I have another question. You guys said that I should have been betting more on the flop and turn. One of you mentioned betting 2/3 the pot on the turn. Do you guys always bet at least 2/3 the pot?
