I really don't like the turn check. As played, I'm calling the river, even though the .75 AF does scare me a little. You might even think about open pushing river against this type of guy.

Why did you check the turn?

His AF sucks, but I'd still call the river.

Sometimes I like to check here to induce a bluff because I look like AK and it looks like I'm just giving up on the pot. I was obviously going for a c/r, but that probably was a poor line to take against somebody with a .75 AF.

turn check is bizzare, but I think it made you a bunch of money when he hit a worse boat.
If you had bet the turn, villian would (correctly) put you on an overpair (which is what I assume he has... not a 5!) . I guess you have to pay a wierd 56/67 hand or 88.

i assume you checked to induce the bluff so call.
Betting the turn here lets a lot of second best hands from pasives get away but will also often encourage more aggro players to raise against a hand that cant take a raise really in compariosn to the board.
he bluffed so call and pay his 5 (if he really has it)

As stated the turn check is bad. I only do this if I have a specific read that someone floats alot.

As played call -- "OMG OMG I have a FH OMG!!!!1111"

Yeah vs this opponent I hate my turn check, it's best to just value bet this guy to death. Anyways, I called instantly when he shoved. He didn't have a 5, but 88 was good.

I love your turn check since usually you get a bet out of it, but it didn't work this time. (damn!) River is an all-in against this player. Your boat >>> his boat.
