    To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

    This is an interesting play. I used to think it was pretty donkish, but it's actually a decent way of getting a better read on an opponents hand without making some silly play like reraising on the flop. Very few players are capable of raising the turn without a strong hand when you do this, so generally when they call they either have a one pair hand or a draw.

    Good if you'd seen him raise for the free card before. Bad if he's a donkey nl player (of the many)
