Lots of early action, what could they be on?

Default Lots of early action, what could they be on?

There are definitely some fish at this table...haven't seen too much out of mboyd, but citizendick and deride have both proven they are willing to go to the felt with overpairs or tptk, or with jst pure crap. Is there any way I can put them on the flopped strt here given that image? What's your play? If dick is drawing, am I correct to stay in with him and pump it up a bit to force out those behind me?

Mboyd most certainly has an over-pair....as for citizen...draw of some sort probably. I would flat call, and hope Mboyd stays in. Deride doesn't worry me too much...doesn't matter if you raise or not, since Deride will be all in either way if he calls. If Mboyd stays in, you can bet the turn and river and he is working on 2 outs. There is the possibility that Mboyd has AKc...then he has 9 outs, although he might stay either way with this hand.

He will have 7 live outs on turn if he hasnt hit his flush by then..

I usually raise here in order to make it HU/3-way and increase my chance of winning the pot (this can be seen as value raise as well). If your opponents arent on flush or straight draws they will surely be scared when a scare card hits. I want to get as much money as possible in the pot on the flop here.

I still think a flat call isn't a bad thing here....Your raise is irrelevant to deride....this only affects Mboyd. So you can raise and get Mboyd out...or call and try and keep Mboyd in. So the question now becomes, do you want Mboyd in or not. What are his likely holdings....PP and flush draw. I think PP is more likely because of his bet on the flop...therefore I want to try and keep him in to take more money off him on later streets...2vs3vs4 way is irrelevant here - do you think you are way ahead of Mboyd...I think so, I try and keep him in drawing to 2 outs. Flat call and bet the turn.

a little town called none of your goddamn business
You easily made the right play. With three way action, I'd make that call on the flop even if I knew they had BOTH flopped the straight, because the effective odds of you filling up are about even with your pot odds.

You could be right with that. I was putting him on either an overpair or a lower set himself, although lower set is not likely as he probably would limp/call UTG. Just figured it may be easier to win against 2 rather than 3. Flush draw for Mboyd would give him odds to call though wouldn't it...$200 to win $700 with 9 outs, not all clean though.

Just posted one in tales of poker, very similar situation with lots of preflop callers...this time it worked out in my favor with him egtting trip A on river while making my boat...3rd hand in that post if you care to see.

Isn't he getting like 10:1 from the BB? I know "trash has reverse implied odds", but 10:1...

Next time just go all-in instead of min-raising.
