Bar donkament, blinds 2000 and 4000. I am a medium stack at the table.

I have 36000 in chips, villain covers. 6 handed, folds to villain on Button who limps in for 2000, SB calls 2000, and I check the BB with Qs3s. Flop is J96 rainbow (no spades) and sb checks. I lead for 5000 into a 6000 pot and Villain calls, SB folds. Turn is another Jack, and I check to villain who bets 15k into a 16k pot. I think for a while and push all in for only 14k more and he folds.

    it wasn't even a minraise

Sorry, converter screwed up. Normally do not play this hand AT all, but was mixing it up and was getting decent odds to see the flop. Demon was a maniac (67/25/2.5) who I had tangled with a couple of times already. Just recently folded to a push from him with JJ on a A high flop. k9doctor didn't seem too special.

Texas Hold'em $.50-$1 NL (real money), hand #992,118,111
Table Qui Nhon, 12 Sep 2006 11:00 PM ET

    Seat 1: DanVance3 ($52.40 in chips)
Seat 2: Blk Demon ($229.20 in chips)

    Seat 10: k9doctor ($99.65 in chips)
    ANTES/BLINDS
cardsman1992 posts blind ($0.50), TristanScott posts blind ($1).

    PRE-FLOP
    2 folds, k9doctor calls $1, 1fold, Blk Demon calls $1, 1 fold, leggchr calls $1, 1 fold, cardsman1992 calls $0.50, TristanScott checks.

    FLOP [board cards 4C,4S,10D ]
3 checks, Blk Demon bets $5, 1 fold, cardsman1992 calls $5, 1 fold, k9doctor calls $5. I know--should have led out here. I knew Demon would bet if checked to, though.

    TURN [board cards 4C,4S,10D,3D ]
cardsman1992 bets $20, k9doctor calls $20, Blk Demon bets $80, cardsman1992 bets $184.75 and is all-in, k9doctor calls $73.65 and is all-in, Blk Demon calls $124.75. ] Now I am worried about what k9 has...TT? I know demon doesn't have TT because he likely would raise PF. Was hoping to isolate against demon cause I thought he had CRAP. Got worried when doctor came along, but thought I would at least come out even in the pot because of my read on demon.

    RIVER [board cards 4C,4S,10D,3D,8S ]

    SHOWDOWN
    cardsman1992 shows [ 4H,JH ]
    k9doctor shows [ 4D,7D ]
Blk Demon shows [ QC,QH ]---Guess I was wrong about what falls in his 25% raising range LOL
    cardsman1992 wins $521.15.

Pot the turn. Villain appears to like his hand enough to lead/call. I might even push it.

I was trying to represent KK-JJ and that I was scared of the ace. I didn't have a good particular read at the time on him, but I figured I'd give it a shot to let him hang himself. With how badly I underrepresented my hand I simply could not fold anywhere in the hand.

It was a combination of things really, and feel too. When he leads the river, I'm pretty sure he has trips/boat or total air (don't think he leads with Kx or JJ, but if he was leading with Kx or AA, I thought he was capable of laying it down if I pushed), and based on previous hands I thought it was unlikely he would play a monster this way. A few hands prior the same pf/flop action occured, and he checked the turn, I bet 99 he c/r'ed to 250, I pushed, and he folded, so I thought he'd probably lead turn if he had Qx here. I'm guessing he had a flush draw, mayybe Kx/AA.

I guess that's why people who bluff with hands that have showdown value are tough to play against.

This LOOKS unremarkable, but the thing is this guy has played like 4 hands in the last 2 hours. I have been stealing his blind every single time, this is the first time he plays back at me. He's so tight, I almost folded to the PF re-raise but I figure he might have QQ sometimes, and he's so weak post flop that I figured I could get away. Once I flop trips, I just am praying he plays his aces... needless to say, I am surpised to see his hand.[/i]

I've seen him make many questionable moves.
"It is impossible for you to learn what you think you already know."

I have a good amount of hands with him, he's tight but he really seems to overvalue hands.

    Live Pwnage:

I'm really drunk, playing like crap against a very very good casino player, great hand reader, (my friend) and a decent, very LAGG, friend. I've been pretty much calling a lot of bets because i'm retarded and think everyone is thinking on the 8th level.

Anyways, i have A6 in the SB, LAGG folds on the button (surprisingly) and i limp. BB, the good hand reader, checks. flop comes 469, i check, he bets 2/3 pot, i call.

turn comes a Jh, putting three hearts on the board, i have Ah. I check, planning on check raising. I really should have lead out but i was too drunk to think well. he checks behind.

river is a 5 non heart.
i check, good hand reader bets 3x the pot. He tells me i shouldn't play him like that because he's going to run over me. "I know what your hand is, you have a pair of 6's."

i tank and call, show him the 6 and he mucks.

Preflop raiser here is mcatdog. At first glance, this hand is nothing special. Some might even be disappointed that they hit the flop so hard and got no action. Hell, I would be happy to flip for stacks here, with an edge against pretty much everything but a set. Err, scratch that, I'd be happy to 'flip' here against anything, INCLUDING sets (degeneracy is underrated).

Anyway, I was going to raise the bejesus out of a flop lead, but he already knew this from playing with me in the past so he just check/folded. Good decision. This was my first orbit at the table and he did not post his big blind the next hand.

Actually asshole, I had the "sit out next hand" box checked before you even called my raise. That was a pretty tough table and there had been a huge fish to my right, but he left during that orbit, so I was already going to leave. I had A 8 so I think I actually owned you pretty hard, since I got you to call a pre-flop raise with a dominated hand, but shrewdly avoided losing any more money when you hit your 3-outer against me.

by the way, I just posted the hand since I saw you made the last post in the thread and it was meant only as a little good-natured ribbing. I think the asshole comment was a bit unnecessary although it's possible you were just kidding. My first impression was that you were not but whatever.

I promise you that I didn't do anything but smile and say 'nh sir' and moved onto the next hand. Lets just say that things weren't exactly going my way this session or on this table in particular, but I didn't do a whole lot of damage. I actually love playing with gabe as it is pretty much free money, and this hand is no exception.

I'll take this edge any day.

    Board: 5h Jh Js
    Dead:

    equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
    Hand 1: 81.6168 % 81.62% 00.00% { 5c5s }

    Hand 3: 17.4972 % 17.50% 00.00% { AdAh }

That entirely aside, gabe, you really should learn how to take hands like this with some class. You should be ashamed of how you handled this hand on AIM. Why you would intentionally try to tilt me after you had seen me get stacked with kings twice on this table, and got 3 outed for a $1300+ pot with 1 card to come when I got overboated on the river, all on this table alone, is beyond me (not to mention the hand you posted which I honestly don't have a problem with). I'm not really sure why I eventually unblocked me but I'm hoping I get an apology. It's amazing that I still continued to play good poker though, so for that I give myself mad props.
