multi-table, or imrpove play?

currently maintaining about a 1.5-2 ptbb/100 winrate@ 50NL, and comfortably withdrawing $500+/month

in order to improve alot of areas of my game i would need to go from 6-8 tbales, down to 2.

this cuts my hands/month from 35K to under 15K, and im just not sure i can expect a big enough increase in my winrate to offset the loss I would take in rb/bonuses...

current WR 1.7ptbb/100 (over huge sample)
Rb/bonuses work out to approx the same 1.7
totalling 3.4ptbb/100

i ahve leaks in my game, theres no doubt, but im just not sure i want to fix something that isnt exaclty "broken" ??

anyone else have this dilemna?

Why do you have to drop to 2 why can't you just drop to 4? If you're comfortably 8 tabling I see no reason why you have to drop to less than 4. You'll still be more focused and thinking playing 4. Which is a good idea to try and improve to move up anyway.

started 4 tables earlier, that is the plan for now.

I find 3 really good for me to work on my game with. If you're really bored with 2 tables, you're probably not paying enough attention to the hands you're not involved in.

Do you really NEED to withdraw $500/month?

If not, I would have thought the answer is very obvious.

do something like 4 tables. If you're used to play 8 you'll never be able to drop down to 2 tables for a significant amount of time, you'll get bored.

I really need to drop my # of tables as well for some sessions.

Typically I am 12 tabling 100nl 6max right now, and some 6table sessions would probably help me a lot...id say half is about where I start having a lot more time to think about decisions. If you go down to 2 you might get fancy play syndrome due to the lack of action from so few hands (aka what happens to me everytime i play live poker)
