NFD BVB 100NL

    Default NFD BVB 100NL

    Don't know much about villain except he floated me earlier w overs and tried to steal on blank turn.

    What to do here? If I call here and blank river I'll be getting better than 3:1 if he shoves. Should I C/RAI here? I am lost. I think he can have a set or worse FD and maybe some overpairs on the flop.

    This is a super easy spot, personally I just 3 bet to $44 or something with the intention of getting it in on the flop but as played I checkraise the turn all in. The guys repping such a narrow range, has shown the tendency to bluff prior and it's bvb means you shouldnt give him much respect at all.
    "This sure beats Super Mario Bros.!" is my ejaculation catch phrase.

    I think c/f and c/c are both reasonable on the turn. Since it's bvb and the guy made a move earlier I'd lean toward c/c turn and c/c any river. But his turn bet shows a lot of strength so a tight fold isn't bad either. (Personally I'd have a lot of trouble folding here.) Oh, and I like your flop call, you're a dog to his stackoff range and if you 3bet he'll fold some worse fd's.

    If draws are raising this flop, then I don't think they are folding to a flop 3bet. Especially since lots of ppl spew and get out of line with bluff 3bets bvb, I'd imagine most draws will just shove over if we 3bet.

    I'd 3bet flop and get this in all day and be pretty happy about it. We own all his draws and are decent equity against anything else he might have.

    Stove it griffey, we're definitely a dog to his shoving range and there are very few (if any) better hands that raise this flop and fold to our 3bet.

    OK if we 3bet, this is our equity vs his 4-bet shoving range:

    Board: 3s 4c 9s
    Dead:

    equity win tie pots won pots tied
    Hand 0: 43.572% 43.57% 00.00% 28470 0.00 { As8s }
    Hand 1: 56.428% 56.43% 00.00% 36870 0.00 { QQ-99, 44-33, KsQs, KsJs, QsJs, JsTs, J9s, T9s, 7s6s, 6s5s, 43s, J9o, T9o, 43o }

    We're almost flipping. In combination with the dead money, and the fact that its BvB and he's definitely raising with air/nonsense (that we might have to give the pot up to later, if we play this hand passively), and the potential of getting him to fold better (some people will raise 3x,4x,55/66 type hands here for protection but fold to 3bet) I think 3betting is still +EV.

    The question is... is flatting BETTER than 3betting.....

    I just feel like if villain is bluffing with any reasonable frequency (which on this board I think he is, since he's repping not much), that he will take this pot away from us later with a worse hand all the times we don't hit.

    definitely in the 3bet flop camp, especially when I'm oop

    I don't think he's stacking off with semi-weak 9x hands here, but I feel he'll shove a lot of the draws in his range, therefore we possibly get him to fold some hands we flip with (that we have no implied odds against) and he'll stick it in with worse draws.

    agree with Grif/Spenda, plus calling OOP just plain sucks when you have a hand like this

    as played I c/c c/c
