    Default Noob at SHNL

How often are you raising from the button after a couple of limpers regardless of your hand? I know that reads on the players at the table matter, but I wanted to get a general idea from everyone. Also, is it standard, until you meet aggression from the blinds, to raise from the button with any two when folded to you?

Also, when in the blinds, are you raising any two when button limps or sb completes? Barring reads, i know, and the "it depends". Agian, I'm looking for a general discussion on this.

Rarely 'regardless of my hand' - limpers often call, and I don't think the risk:reward ratio is good for total trash.

Not standard by me. It just pisses people off, and pushes them towards playing against you correctly (i.e. opening up their three-betting/calling frequencies).

Moreso if the SB limps than when the button does. I don't want to be building a pot when OOP.

I'm never raising 'regardless,' but yea, like gabe said, if I'm playing it, I'm probably raising it. Even a hand like 97s from the button after a few limpers. If the limpers are short I'm just folding it though.

I will not raise "any two", but if im gonna play my hand (wich I do alot in the button), im entering the pot as the aggressor. And if im entering the pot, i generally dont want it multi-way.

If folded to on the buttom my range may be something like any 2 broadway, any pair, any A, SCs, SGs, S2Gs, 87+, 97+, maybe any K, maybe any Q, ya know everything except the total crap and sometimes even the toal crap, it totally depends on how tight the blinds are. If there is 1 limper I may raise all of this depending on the player, but not usually. I try to have a stronger hand when there are more than 2 limpers, but again it depends on who is limping.

NLT&P - usually raise your good hands (good multi-way can call here sometimes), if you are going to semi-bluff, do it with the the best hands you would usually fold. What those hands are depends on how tight you are playing.

EDIT: Just to be clear, you only do this some fraction of the time.

I have heard that it's important to defend your position and should raise on the button almost at will.
