Here's the deal :


Important stuff

-each participant has until May 1st to send 250$ to gabe on Stars (send to "gp333"). If sending money on Stars is a problem then PM me and we'll figure something out

-the winner will be the 1st player to make 30k at nl200 through nl600 after midnight, May 1st

-players must be accepted into the challenge by me. Don't worry, I won't pull any dictator b.s. but I'll just have to confirm that everyone playing is a known FTRer who can be counted on. So far I doubt this will be a problem. No random ppl signing up after making 12 posts...

Details

-Format will be winner-take-all if 6 ppl or less participate. At 7 ppl + we will go 70% for 1st and 30% for 2nd.

-Players on Ful ltilt and Ulti matebet will be allowed to count ra keback as part of their profits as a minor compensation for the more difficult U.S. only games

Questions:

1. How do we verify players winnings? PT screenshots?
2. Also, We should have an official blog on thread about thoughts and how its going for everyone in the Opertaion forum. I think it's much cooler if everyone does NOT make their own Operation, but rather make one thread with every player in the challenge participating putting their comments.
3. PS has less rakeback then UB or FT, is it possible we can work something out that US players get the rakeback they would normally get from their PT numbers? Because obviously, this is a further disdvantage to PS players.

I was thinking ppl playing on stars could include FPP bonuses they accumulate during their challenge play.

From what I understand, at Goldstar this comes out to something like 20%?

If this is too complicated, we could just allow all participants playing on FTP, Stars or UB to credit themselves for 30% of total rake played.

As for results, we're gonna have to trust each other a whole lot. No matter how much "policing" is done, there will always be ways to cheat in this kind of prop-bet. I know that you and Sauce trust each other (and Massimo if he plays...). For my part, I trust benny999, andy-akb and Alexos entirely.

I don't know JL very well but my gut says he can be trusted.

If we want to be picky we can require screenshots of starting BR at the site(s) you play as well as PT shots.

However, there are so many easy ways to cheat that integrity is the only thing we can count on. As far as I'm concerned, if someone cheats me out of my 250$ by doctoring PT stats just as I'm at +29k about to win it all, oh well.

This is obviously the weak point in the challenge but I think we'll have to live with it. I've never met benny999 in real life but I've transferred $ with several times and have worked with him a huge amount online. He is a reliable guy. I have met Alexos and Andy in the flesh and have handled pretty large sums of cash for them and they were completely thorough in getting money transferred to me. So I'm not at all anxious about them.

Regarding the makeup of the challenge thread or blog I agree that one central thread would be awesome. The only problem I see is that it could get so huge that it would be tough to navigate for ppl railing/prop betting on us (I bet we could eclipse the 500 post mark pretty soon if the blog included trash-talking, pwned hands and beats). So I'd suggest we have one thread which will be used only by the players for results/updates. We could then start another thread to discuss/talk smack. Just an idea.

If you guys think I'm being a bit naive with all the faith I have in everyone... I understand. We'll see what we can figure out.

Max this assumption is somewhat incorrect. Chances are you can achieve double the winrate of someone at 600nl anyways and it's just a good motivation tool. comon dude.

Alright, Ive been gone a lot recently [DC and Boston] and am basically just getting back. Not 100% sure if I am going to do this as I basically just cashed out out a good sized portion of my BR for some expenses [buying my dads car, membership at the country club, school, etc.], so I dont know what sort of shape my BR will be in at the start of this. Anyways, if I can grind it back up to something respectable so I can be back at 2/4, then I will definitely be in this.

Moving to May 8th or 9th would be o.k. if everybody agrees on it. I know that Alexos, for one, can't play during the 1st week of May. If this is the same for you and Max then I see no problem in moving back the start date by 1 week...
