OMG... 6maxaments?? Ohh the aggression!!! (NC)

Anyways, I'm bored and just thought I would drop in and say whats up to everyone here in the shorthanded forum. Reason being is tomorrow I intend to drop nit-ring and play 6m for a while.

There are alot of reasons why I'm making this move. A few reasons being, I have leaks I need to work on that learning 6m should address far better, I intend to play low-mid stakes at some point next year so 6m should help with table selection, and this is by far the best forum on FTR. The wealth of information being thrown around here is invaluable, and I'm looking forward to taking part in some of the discussion.

So, in essence, what's up? Also, anyone have any suggestions for video series on DeucesCracked that is definately worth a download for a new 6m player?

balugewhales new ghost vid is quality as are all his other stuff imo.

gl. maybe check out the real life micr-nolimit grinder vids. i skipped over alot of the starting hand/br management stuff, but it was pretty solid overall.

definitely balugawhale vids. so much depth in his analysis.

perhaps also FWF's moving up video, but that starts at 100nl

only great series at DC is dogisheads up which i would recommend to anyone even if they dont play HU. balugawhale is decent as is the Professor Plotkin series. If you want quality 6max vids i suggest leggopoker; aejones vids in particular are very well done.

IMO if you're just getting started with 6-max the best video series to watch is Ike's on PokerSavvy.

no parallels? dogisheads up is really good. do you think you can watch HU videos and still apply them well to anything? you should get a job on dc.

Also, Leggopoker vids I got the most out of, AEjones, Carrotsnake, and Straate. I'm not one for the overly analytical ones like BobboFitos, but if you are, his should be a really good choice.

I'm coming from regging it up at 100nl and 200nl at FR. I'm getting a few coaching sessions, watching a shitload of videos, and reading and re-reading some articles before I do too much playing. The plan is to start at 100nl (with 100 buyins), and play that until I get the hang of things. If I notice I have a large learning curve ahead of me, I'll drop to 50nl for a bit.

Thanks for the info guys, and I've already downloaded like 100 vids using only the DC 7 day free trial. I'll probably look into getting a Leggo Sub in the near future.

I can't keep track on how much these things cost, but maybe around $800/yr, for leggo, DC and CR.

There was a point there I thought CR was going down, but they've fixed their game and are back up top I think. DC is decent, and I liked DC a lot for learning PLO. Leggo I hardly watch anymore really.. but AEjones is alright and straate too.

I probably don't watch enough vids, but as long as you compare cost to buyins saved/gained its usually gonna be worth it I figure.

Interesting, because I like Craig's and Isuru's videos being very similar to my stakes.

I'm actually wondering if you just recently remembered this was a poker forum and decided to see if any forums other than the Commune still exist?

I also might have started to play again and forgot how bad I am.

I see the following leaks in fr players who play 6 max if this helps:

1) They play really nitty and don't adjust to position at all.
2) They do stupid spazzy things preflop like either get it in light randomly or have a weird 3 betting range like monsters and hands with little value like 52 or 63 etc I guess they expect 6 max players to be spewing really hard.
3) They spazz out postflop cause they don't believe your lines and they don't balance their ranges ie they felt mid pair when they think you are bluffing or they ship it in with no equity etc...
4) Actually pretty much all of them call way too many 3 bets cause I guess they think their opening range is stronger than your 3 betting range?
