Default OOP with strong hands when the board kicks you in the nuts

Both these hands are kinda the same, basically crappy river spots where we are OOP.

In the first hand the villain is fishy and loose/passive, 50/7/2 over 110 hands. Probably calls pf/flop/turn with a wide range. Not sure what he would do if he had a flush on the turn.

    Stacks:
    Hero ($200.00)
    UTG+1 ($569.77)
    CO ($231.23)
    BTN ($107.55)
    SB ($353.87)
    BB ($187.60)

    Pre-flop: ($3, 6 players) Hero is UTG
Hero raises to $7, 1 fold, CO calls $7, 1 fold, SB calls $6, 1 fold

    Flop: ($23, 3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $16, CO calls $16, SB folds

    Turn: ($55, 2 players)
Hero bets $40, CO calls $40

    River: ($135, 2 players)
    Hero has a PSB left???

The second hand is a bit different because I have more then a PSB left on the river. The opponent is pretty much the same type of player as hand one.

    1) river I check-soulread

    2) bet 2/3 pot and fold to raise
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

Hand 1 - Crappy spot. The only good thing is that he's passive, and so he prob won't bluff without a diamond here so you possibly check and hope it gets checked through. Against an aggressive player who I thought might blufff, I might bet here and hope to fold out a crappy diamond.

Hand 2 - for sure bet/call, he'll call with worse I'd imagine. I'd bet 60ish and call a push.. though I suppose a fold could be ok depending how passive. I still b/c though

You can't really fold to a raise if you bet 2/3 imo

    No hindsight for the blind.
Wtf @ c/r the second one against a passive guy? These guys don't turn a pair (or two) into a bluff but they often aren't folding them to a bet either. b/f $70 imo.

I'd also bet slightly more on flop and turn in both hands, and then probably just shove river in the second one.
