    Default overly aggro?

an experiment in 3betting...villain is very rocky...he had something this time, and he has never seen me 3bet before. i am more curious as to whether or not you HAVE to cbet this? not to mention the size. i want to keep it the same as when i connect for deception, but should i pot it?

Absolute Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver Cards)

    BB ($4.66)
    UTG ($36.93)
    MP ($10.15)
    Hero ($45.65)
    Button ($32.01)
    SB ($13.61)

Preflop: Hero is CO with , .
UTG raises to $1, 1 fold, Hero raises to $3.75, 3 folds, UTG calls $2.75.

    Flop: ($7.85) , , (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $5.25, UTG raises to $15, Hero folds.

    Final Pot: $18.35

and here, villain was loose, but aggressive post flop. i know hes good for a cbet, but he is so short, was my raise fine, or too big? i wanted it felted on flop.

1 is horrible pre (he's a rock who raised UTG), although I'm not sure about the cbet.

    2 is pretty standard.

    1. Think of hands someone is going to fold before cbetting, especially in threebet pots where someones range is tight. Someone who calls a threebet after he raises UTG likely has a very tight range.
Preflop is okay if he opens a lot from UTG but folds to threebets like a napkin.
    2. Threebetting pre is something that should be done here a fair amount if he's opening on the button loosely (calling is probably the better play at these stakes).
Postflop i dont like your raise size and i also call here versus a fair amount of villains (mostly the nits).

hand one. i figured if he didnt have QQ+, he folds. and, i tried to size the 3bet to discourage AK from doing anything on the flop oop. too fancy for 25?

i know a rock only calls my RR with high pockets, but he thought and thought forever once i ripped it. i thought, i had to follow up the 3bet to have any chance. but, i guess if i am fairly certain he is on JJ or an overpair, i needn't even try. just c/behind and fold at first opportunity?

hand two... i didnt recall him button raising too often to be honest. and, being that he, too, is short, can i really 3bet here? what if he shoves over? at the very least he is committed to push the flop if i check. i think i can get it in on a flop i like anyway, so why not take the flop for cheap?

ISF, i assume you didnt like the raise because it was too big, but he only had about $8 behind, and i didnt like a $2-$3 bet because it gave him room to call, and i lose my equity on turn, if i dont hit good. or, at least, thats what i was thinking. i thought a bigger bet looked more like a bluff and would get called by unpaired overs, too.

correct me again if i am wrong. i thought i played them better than you guys did. so, obv, i have some things to learn here.
