I know i have to call here but it looks terribly like he just played me with a J. If i check the turn or river, i'm afraid he could steal without having it though. The pot got kinda big quick, i didn't really know how to handle this one after he called my flop bet.

yes it definately looks like he has the JJ, he just calls the flop and the turn then min raises the river, he better have a good hand or its sad

He flipped 55 I destacked him about 10 hands later so it's all good. But this same thing could happen when i'm up against a player who knows what he's doing.

I hate sitting OOP when I just have an overpair in any pot..

Just so easy to lose a stack..

Show weakness, and you lose the pot, show strength and you may lose your stack....

Sucks to be in that posistion....

    Q. Is poker Gambling?
    A. Do you use correct bankroll management?

if he calls you down with 55 especially after firing at the turn then hes just made a poor play. Yes your oop and he could have a jack but this is sloppy play by opp. I wouldnt make too much of this play, although id normally play it like this too, but maybe check raise the flop to try and buy it. Obviously this is more dnagerous but i think it gets you more info quicker.
