post flop action w/ TPMK against 37-4 making small raises

5-handed game, villain is 37% vpip and 4% preflop raise (though I had < 30 hands on him). Should I have given up this hand when he check-minraised my flop cbet, re-raised aggressively, called each street (as i did?), or other? This is my first post.. thanks a lot for any input. Best wishes -- rob.

villain checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $2, villain raises to $4, 1 fold, Hero calls $2 <-- what do i do here?

Turn: ($11.10) A (2 players)
villain bets $2, Hero calls $2 <-- and here

River: ($15.10) 8 (2 players)
villain bets $2, Hero calls $2 <-- ...

hand isn't terrible really.

flop you have to call once, turn you add a gutter to your equity and you're calling $2 into $13 pot. river you're likely beat BUT you're getting 8.5 to 1 to call !!! might as well, and at least you get to see what he had and how he played it for information

sometimes villain has like 77 here
I mean there's no way you should fold, the only question is whether you should raise at any point and I think we have too much showdown value not to just call this down

Against an unknown I'd play like this.
