he doesn't have a set on the flop most likely. considering he completes SB then smooth calls the PF minraise, why would he wait to start betting his draw on the turn, much less as an overbet? if he has two pair on the turn, how does he not 3bet you, especially after leading w/ that overbet? his line sucks no matter what he has. i'm pretty sure you're ahead. i might check/push, just because he may fold to an open push but try to bluff you again on river. get him to commit himself.
In answer to your question... it depends...

You think we miss value here often enough when we are ahead? Does villain have a lone King here enough that we can justify pushing?

    Nice game selection.

Leaning towards agreeing with Gabe. We don't know what this guy's bluff frequency is.

Good to see this looks unfoldable.

I felt that his line matched with 2-pair. This would explain his "waking up" on the turn.

Since the turn made him "wake up", it seemed likely he had 6-x and filled up on the river. That or a "slow-donk-played" set.

The flush completing just made it shittier for me since fish are scared of flushes a whole lot and reduced the chances of him calling a push with a worse hand.

I decided to check-call and expected to be beat. Ugh.

btw block-betting isn't an option imo here. I'd be betting 1/4 pot and then folding to a push getting about 5.5-1 having commited a shitload.

Just a shitty situation. Glad to know a lot of ppl with more experience than me aren't shying away from this river.
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

    gabe, why do you push?

Fish will call with lots of hands they otherwise would check behind or bet weak. This looks like one of these river problems where you're only 40% to win, but betting is your best play.
