Pushing A-K preflop.

    Default Pushing A-K preflop.

Opponent is playing extremely aggressively preflop. For example, a few hands ago I brought it in for $8 with A-Q in the small blind when it was folded to me, he reraised to $24, I reraised to $66, he went all-in, I folded and he showed K-8 suited.

    Thoughts on this play?

Is he going to call that with worse hands often enough?

How is this better than re-raising to $66 and calling a push?

    I like Fnord's idea
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

Expensive telegram. Just hope he doesn't wake up with a hand.

That was the main idea. That if he was going to try to take away the lead from me preflop, I was willing to punish him.

Maybe raising less than all-in is good, but I think there is a reasonable chance he will call when I have a 50% chance of doubling up.

Don't ever 4bet AK with 100bb stacks and fold to a push in 6 max. Seriously it's really bad against anybody who isn't really nitty. I frequently will 4 bet AK against most players, and against some I drop it to a standard 3 bet. Very read dependant obviously.

In this hand you need to reraise an amount where he still thinks he has folding equity and can push with a wider range than he is calling a shove with. But yeah, I'm getting all in here for sure, I just don't like the overbet shove all in against a bluffing donkey.

I had A-Q offsuit when I folded to the push. You think I should've called his 5-bet all-in?

Whoops, thought you had AK for some reason.
