    Default Q-Q hand.

The big blind is quite bad. I recently stacked him when he tried to bluff me off a set with A-K high (he started the hand with a full buy-in). He could easily be on tilt. What is my best play after he raises?

I'm going to break this hand history into parts because I think each street is fairly interesting.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    BB ($245.45)
    Hero ($417)
    MP ($159)
    CO ($349.10)
    Button ($509.60)
    SB ($161.45)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with Q, Q.
Hero raises to $8, 3 folds, SB calls $7, BB calls $6.

    Flop: ($24) 2, 6, J (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $16, SB calls $16, BB raises to $45, Hero ?

If he sucks bad I'll three bet this flop and call a push.

Well, he's bad in the sense that he's overly aggressive, but he isn't a complete fish as far as I can tell.

Hmmm, in that case I would probably just call and raise all in on a safe turn card.

I did just call, inducing him to either continue with a bluff or overplay a pair of J's, but he checks. Hero?

    I'd probably make a weak 50-70$ bet.

Bet $85 and call a push.

At that point I figured he either had a J, but was afraid he might not have the best hand, or had 2-2 or 6-6 and was slow-playing. I just decided to check to get a better read on his hand and give him more confidence in his hand if he has a J. Also, unless he has K-J or A-J, he's drawing to two outs now that the board paired. Perhaps I should've just value bet.

Then he makes a weak bet on the river, and I'm fairly sure he only has a J, so I make a value raise.

Thoughts on the turn and river here?

    BB checks, Hero checks.

    River: ($130) 7 (2 players)
BB bets $20, Hero raises to $60, BB calls $40.

    Final Pot: $250

    Results in white below:
BB has Ah Js (two pair, jacks and twos).
Hero has Qh Qd (two pair, queens and twos).
    Outcome: Hero wins $250.

dont you regret not pushing the flop or betting the turn? you missed getting his stack because you had fancy play syndrome.

you said he was overly aggressive and you are giving him way too much credit for a hand.

I probably should've bet the turn, but I think moving in on the flop is pretty bad. I had no reason to think he'd call with J-x.

I was planning on raising all-in on the turn, but once he checked, I opted to check behind for the reasons mentioned.

Am I the only one surprised at "bad" villains ability to lose the minimum with TPTK?
I am very surprised he didn't lead or check raise the turn.

Surprisingly cautions with TPTK... I think that means that he folds to a flop push as well.

Yeah, he doesn't seem terrible (on this hand at least) to me - I'd like to see the hand history of his AK bluff, personally.

Anyway, I would bet $60 on the turn and probably another $100 on the river assuming he's still hanging around. On the flop it looks like he's testing with a jack so I'm value-betting the whole way unless he check-raises me twice.
