At that point I figured he either had a J, but was afraid he might not have the best hand, or had 2-2 or 6-6 and was slow-playing. I just decided to check to get a better read on his hand and give him more confidence in his hand if he has a J. Also, unless he has K-J or A-J, he's drawing to two outs now that the board paired. Perhaps I should've just value bet.
Then he makes a weak bet on the river, and I'm fairly sure he only has a J, so I make a value raise.
