    Default A-Qs 200NL

SB is 18/8 over 50 hands, fairly aggressive. I don't think he is a regular. I haven't done anything unusual at this table. Hows the river bet size?

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (6 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Hero ($222.80)
    UTG ($212.20)
    MP ($214.85)
    CO ($224.60)
    Button ($248.40)
    SB ($233)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A, Q.
4 folds, SB raises to $8, Hero calls $6.

    Flop: ($16) 5, T, 5 (2 players)
SB bets $10, Hero raises to $36, SB calls $26.

    Turn: ($88) 8 (2 players)
    SB checks, Hero checks.

    River: ($88) 4 (2 players)
SB bets $55, Hero raises to $156

    yeah.

    why no 3bet pf?

I was wondering why no flop float. Is that because if you call the flop you could easily have Tx/66-99 and he can make you fold them?

I also would still 3-bet pre even if he is an 18/8

I didn't 3bet preflop because lately i have tried extremely polarizing my 3bet range in position.

As for the raise size, i know that a lot of crappy/fishy players effectively raise all in but will leave a couple BB behind. That's the effect i was going for anyway lol.

    i don t really understand unless u r repping a boat

if it s to get him off a very weak hand then sure it seems fine but given his stats and line AA-JJ is very much in his range here
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

    river is burning money

i think ur hand is too strong to turn into a bluff on the flop

ofc 3betting preflop is fine/standard but i dont take issue with ur call exactly as long as u mix it up.

just be award a common theme in ur threads lately has been cold calling preflop with almost premium hands and putting yourself to difficult decisions postflop. so if u r not able to make optimal decisions in these spots id imagine 3betting almost always will earn you more profit.

it does look really bluffy i suppose... wouldn't this be a great way to play 5-x?

i think learning how to play these hands in raised pots postflop in position well will help my postflop play a lot.

    thanks for the comments everyone

What hand would raise this flop but then check through this non-scary turn? .. and even further, then raise a non-scary river?

If you're repping strength then just fire the turn again. I t hink you'd more likely get a fold on the turn barrel, than raising his river bet w hen he's even more committed and more confused by your line.

this is why it d be a great way to play a boat vs a thinking villain

but not a bluff unless we re already on the umpteenth level
