    100NL

    - When you are on the button, do you ever call raises with unsuited connectors near broadway, say 109, j10, 89, 78?

I've read a lot about people's button ranges, but I've just tried adding these to my range with mixed results. It seems that raising with A2c on the button at times works on the right table, but against better players and regs I feel like I need to stick with a solid, established range.

    - When you are in the BB or SB and you've noticed that button is raising more than most people raise the button, do you ever call with the intention to steal? IF so, what is your line?

Do you lead out the flop, or do you c/r? I would think c/r is stronger as he may r/r your cbet on the flop. I have been seeing a LOT of re-raising cbets at 100NL from some players on the button, so I can see myself having to put a lot of moeny in on the steal if I open. Some guys will raise button, if checked to bet, and if bet at, will reraise your cbet. And they take down a lot of pots.

    - Blind war: equal 100bb stacks and I have AQo in the SB. BB is a good reg who is 3 betting liberally with AK/Q, 1010+, also seen a squeeze. Action is folded to me, I raise to $3 and he pops it to $10. I nervously pop it to $30 and he folds. I'm definitely not used to making such big bets PF with AQo.

Is this standard play for sb/bb action, or should I in the future just be calling his 3bet? He may think I'm just blind stealing, so it might be a defense with a marginal hand or air, right?

If he pushes, I have to fold right? Or do you think I'm likely to be in a coinflip situation?

    - I'm currently raising 33% of the hands I play on the button. Too low, too high, just right? I am 25/13 overall.

    q1)
i'll call 4x raises with unsuited connectors if the player raising is particularly bad, or if there is already a cold caller.

    q2)
i think 3betting light preflop is much more +EV than trying to steal it postflop. they do have position on you.

    q3)
against this villain, it's fine. i would cringe too putting in a 4bet with AQo. and yes you have to fold. who 5bets light anyways?

33% sounds about right for a VPIP of 25.

    1) Often call vs tight predictable players intending to steal and often call vs loose players for value. Rarely call vs in between unpredictable players.

    2) Calling and donking the flop and figuring out what the reaction means is a fine art. Try it against different opponents and see what they do. Most hands miss most flops so this can work well against the right opponent.

    3) AQ is right at the bottom of the range you put him on so why 3bet? Youre in for a world of hurt if he takes a flop. If you want to get frisky Vs a tight player do it with 76s type stuff but against this guy its probably better to just let his AK take it down.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.
