Reading a misclick

    Default Reading a misclick

I decided to post this in high stakes because I feel like whatever can be gained from it is most applicable to higher stakes, where you're trying to push every edge you can.

So I was playing 12 tables of 50NL and on one of my tables was dealt 35o. I then proceeded to misclick and hit raise instead of fold (I know the buttons are far away from each other). While feeling like an idiot, I began to think about how my opponents would react to this play, seeing as I can't remember the last time I made a minraise preflop, and these players have definitely never seen me do it. If my opponents were observant enough and had played with me enough (another reason I posted in high stakes), I thought, they would be able to tell that I had misclicked and would be able to put me on ATC.

    My questions are:
    1. Is this type of thinking relevant to a forum?
    2. Has anyone here ever played differently suspecting a misclick?
    3. Is it actually possible to read a misclick or are we really just better off playing like we would normally even if we're very confident that one of our opponents has misclicked? Not that the play is actually a misclick but that we can alter an opponent's range reliably based on it.
    4. Does this mean that online against very observant opponents we should occasionally make plays that we nearly never make?

We're poker players, it doesn't matter what stake we're playing, we should always being pushing our edges.

I put it in here even though I think you're playing FR b/c in there it would just turn into an AA vs KK PF question.

Thanks spenda, I agree that we should push whatever edges we can no matter what stakes we're playing. I just meant at lower stakes, if our energy and time is limited, we don't need to waste any of it thinking about something like this. Short-handed is a good choice too imo.
