    Default Scared Money

Most ppl here and on poker are scared money. STOP IT!!! Apply pressure. Play OVERROLLED so you have no care in the world shoving with a marginal draw to push out some TAGG. Then you will make $$

yes this is overly simplistic but its at the core of most peoples problems, and its not talked about enough, its the #1 not talked about thing on forums for lower (up to maybe 200nl) stakes players. If you are playing less than 20 buyins you may be scared money.

think about the situations, and so much dead money is sitting there for you to take in these tiny, medium pots. Super system is still totally applicable.

just do what makes most hands fold, its higher variance but big $$

and no I'm not talking about a lag style at all

I agree with your point, though a lot of players at the lower stakes have no idea how many FE they really have in particular spots. Being under- or overroled is more feel based imo, and being able to make money by shoving marginal holdings is another aspect of the game. I don't think it's the most important aspect though, imo that still is getting maximum value from your better than marginal hands. At least for the stakes we are talking about.

I bet I am the most scared player on FTR. I'm like a playground bully, flexing my muscles on the flop but running to mommy as soon as anyone plays back.

minsim, I didn't mean to say that going all in with marginal draws was the crux of the post... hands like this are

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (5 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Hero ($156.95)
    BB ($108.35)
    UTG ($27.65)
    MP ($98.70)
    Button ($100)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A, Q.
2 folds, Button raises to $4, Hero calls $3.50, BB calls $3.

    Flop: ($12) T, 8, 4 (3 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, Button checks.

    Turn: ($12) T (3 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, Button bets $5, Hero raises to $18, BB folds, Button folds.

    Final Pot: $22

normally I 3bet out of the sb here but villain was REALLY loose and weak post flop, I figured I could push him out or extract money from a weaker kicker type hand

basically I'm saying take initiative in the spots you know what you should do and do it.

how often do you think 'i bet he has nothing or is weak' and just call or fold instead of re-raising?

and yes ISF your post kicks ass like tons of your posts, but especially that one

I just don't think most people bother reading/processing your post without nudging them. They know about aggression but fail to take the initiative with it.

I can't remember who it is, sauce or lukie but they always talked about initiative and I didn't get it until recently playing a LOT of hands and getting tired of not acting what I knew could get opponent's weakish holdings to fold.
