Scary check-call on the flop

    Default Scary check-call on the flop

    My image is Lagg. His check-call made me scared and he hadnt called that many of my PFR's. I was automatically re-raising that weak bet from the short stack when I noticed that I actually had a hand here

    I think you're right to be scared by that call, and I don't mind the rest of the play.

    I agree with dale, you got a read and slowing down.

    That hand was beautifully played by you.

    Checking behind on turn and then calling a decent river bet is standard and I think the best play possible. You're giving him a chance to bluff and keeping the pot manageable after such a "vulgar display of power*" was shown on the flop.
