I just want to make sure i minimize my small mistakes.

I usually check/fold. About the worst he can have is 2 overcards and even then he might acidently beat you with a flush (On the river).

I sometimes bet again and then give up if he calls. I usually prefer this with reads.

id bet again probably, you were probably ahead on flop and J didnt change much

a lot of people dont care about pot and will call this bet because its small, so yeah i bet again.

also if hes unknown hes probably a donk and might call with a combo draw type thingy or a high club
