Default Situations: Gain a read and exploit it !

okay I have seen this done on some other forums and it seems to be a great success.. and will hopefully get some good discussion/strategy type discussion going...

so post a hand where you gained a read, and then post a hand where you exploited it...

this is not a very good example but hopefully this will give everyone the right idea?

    ok villian is a 42/15/2

this is before i have any reads on him... just a standard hand, I see he checked the nuts to me on the turn and river though... which made me lol..

    Board:
    HuevosMendez (BB): $98.25
    omgIhaz72o (CO): $100
    HERO (Button): $100
    Coltra (SB): $182.05

    Dealt to HERO 3 3

    Pre-flop:
(1 folds), HERO raises to $4, (1 folds), HuevosMendez calls $3

    Flop: ($8.50) 9 4 8 (2 Players)
HuevosMendez checks, HERO bets $5, HuevosMendez calls $5

    Turn: ($18.50) 7 (2 Players)
    HuevosMendez checks, HERO checks

    River: ($18.50) 2 (2 Players)
    HuevosMendez checks, HERO checks

    Results:
    HuevosMendez Showed T J
    HuevosMendez wins $17.60
    HERO Showed 3 ,3

and now this is usually a snap fold for me, but villian took a really weird line... and I have seen him before play the nuts extremely passively...
I bet the turnw hich he minraises, and I call because he only minraised and because i now have a fd+gutshot, however good chance my fd is no good, and if so im probably behind...
and then his bet on the river, i usually snap fold this but what is he doing? all of a sudden he is potting the river? so i call..
also there arent too many over cards villian could have which make too many diamonds better than mine that make sense... he could have KK, but pretty unlikely. Ad is out there, Jd is out there, which leaves with a Q, T, 9d that beat me. He could have TJ, but i rule this out on his river bet, so i basically have him as Ax, AT is really the only thing that makes sense that really crushes me, and his strong river bet leads me to tossing out those hands...

I like this hand.. I even think that if you never make these kinds of reads and go with them that you'll have a shitty winrate at best. Nh.
