    Default Small and Simple

I've been beating up on villain without getting to showdown. He's a pretty normal reg that I haven't noticed doing anything weird other than seeming a little weak-tight in general.

Last hand we played, I flatted his utg (5 handed) raise and bet a low flop after he checked to me. He insta-folded.

game is nl5-10, eff stacks 900$

Villain raises from CO, I flat KQo from btn. We see a flop HU.

    Flop (85$) is

He checks, I bet 60, he calls pretty quickly.

    Turn is

He checks, I check back (I think this is the big question in the hand fwiw)

    River (205$) is

    He bets 165 pretty quickly...
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

I'd probably bet turn again and easily fold to a c/r.

You wanna shove river or what? I'd just fold, don't think he's bluffing and don't think he's vbetting worse.
Nine to five is how to survive - I ain't trying to survive / I'm trying to live it to the limit and love it a lot //

Can offer RB deals on most sites, PM me.

I think his turn range is either hands we beat but are folding to a bet (Tx) or hands that beat us (most Qx +) so I like the check.

I fold the river because same reasons as Alexos.

There's also plenty of worse pair + draw hands. Vs a predictable weak-tight opponent, you don't lose much by betting here. It's not like he'll be more likely to call Tx if you check turn, bet river.

I don't mind the turn check, feel like that card is pretty brutal. I think a lot of his two pair hands might even c/c that turn, so its not like you can confidently go for a third street of value here anyhow.

River is a fold though, you don't really beat anything.

I don't want to go for three streets necessarily, just get value from T8,T9,Q9,KT etc. If he doesn't c/r turn with two pair that's even better! Bet like 110$.

Nothing wrong with a check either and it's probably my std play vs most.

not sure i understand this...his calling range of a turn bet is wider than his river betting range if we check? not saying i disagree either but wanted to make sure that's what you meant.

I think i check the turn as well and tank a river..it's a fold but i always wanna call and hope he has some weird AJ or q9s type hand.
