    HERO ??

    3. I'm not doing too great with the smaller pp's. I typically call if stacks are 15x the raise, and kinda just fold if I don't hit my set. I've been thinking I should add in some potsteals, because over 13k hands half my pps from 22-TT are showing a loss. Occassionally lead out OOP, or float if in position. Maybe a raise or c/r. I'm doing ok (9ptBB/100) but these smaller pockets are normally moneymakers so I'm def losing value there.
Here is an example I could have maybe made an attempt at the pot

I probably have about 6 outs if I'm behind, so I could have lead out or c/r. Problem is if I'm called, what then.. any comments welcome.

0.20/0.40 blinds? that's weird, never seen that before.

hand 1: playing outta position sucks, and it really depends on your read on the opponent. some guys will fold to 2nd barrels, others 3rd barrel, and some guys you should just check/fold the flop.

hand 2: what's villians post flop aggression? i think i can find a fold if it's sufficiently low, otherwise i stick it in.

hand 3: open raise preflop. as played, i would bet the flop about 2/3 and go from there.

Hand 1: Hmm the turn isn't really a scare card for villain. It's a pretty easy float though, so I don't mind the 2nd barrel. It works often imo, so this could just be results oriented. A turn c/r is sweet too.

Hand 2: Because you're OOP I'd raise to at least 6 preflop, you're pretty much giving him the right price to sethunt or call with SC's.
There certainly is merit in pushing the flop as this is 1010/JJ often. You cannot fold out hero having a 7 or 44, but it's pretty much opponent specific to either push, call or fold the flop. As played, you have to fold turn because of his betsize.

Hand 3: You at least have to call this flop. Betting isn't bad and I like a c/r even more. It's very likely your opponent missed this flop so you're more often then not ahead here with just the 3's. Combined with the gutshot you're good here.

1: I used to double or tripple barrel more in the past. But I'm playing a lot laggier now than before, maybe that's why it doesn't work too well anymore as people don't give me credit so often anymore. People are calling my cbets with like K high..

2: I raised 2.7x his raise, don't think that's giving him odds to call to crack me? (how do you calculate that anyway?) I just had my QQ run into AA on another table, so I was just sitting there thinking "how can I not be totally beat here?".. but I shoved anyway :P

3: about raising it preflop.. I raise a ton of hands on CO and button, and a decent range from UTG and UTG+1 but at a table with loose callers (or even just one guy who loves to call any raise) who don't like to give up postflop, it's not really working out to just raise any hand I like to play. So I either limp or minraise it from EP. As long as there isn't a table captain raising over all my limps, it seems to be ok. If you raise, you often end up in bigger pots OOP with crappy hands vs people who know you're raising a ton of trash. Not good.

And I agree, I'm too wimpy, def shoulda lead out, maybe even gone for the c/r. I prefer the lead I think, c/r is more expensive, but it does set up for a good image.

so then they won't expect you to have something on a 3xx board.

I like your reasoning on the limp Jackvance and on certain tables I do it too, especially when generally more players call preflop and c-bets.

hand 2 about the raising standards. It's 2.70$ (5,5BB) for him too call, so with your stack of 100BB you're offering him more then enough implied odds too call.
I like 3-betting at least 3x in position and 3,5-4x OOP.
With a raise to 6, villain has to call 4.40. If you're not stacking of on any board he hits, he doesn't have enough implied odds.
