Default Some hands from my last session

Let me know if my lines are optimal please. Feeback here has been great lately. Sorry for all the hands, figured one post is better than a bunch. Converter does not work for me (I tried a bunch of times).
    Hand 1:
Villain raised CO and Button almost every time - he's 58/35 so after folding for a while I figured QJ is a good hand to call with. I played barely any hands at this point but was aggressive each time. Call this down? Bet turn? Raise river?

He calls my raise on the flop and then leads into me on the turn so I'm thinking split pot. He goes in the tank and folds. Must have been AQ or a set. I can't see any other play here except push.

    Hand 4:
What to do here? First off, Villain (50/10) made a couple comments about being sick of me raising because he wanted to limp every hand so I think he had it out for me.
I flop top two he calls my raise. Then he leads into me on the turn when the 9 falls. Crappy card to see. He leads again on the river. I was close to folding but made a crying call. Did I mess this one up?

    Hand 5:
Unknown player. I thought about smooth-calling but with two spades I figured I would try to get some more money in now and hope he pushes. It's obvious villain has AA/KK/QQ/AK/JJ since that's all anyone reraises with at 200NL.
Best line: Smooth-call, $80, $120 or push? I min-raised to make it look like I was just testing him since he reraised me preflop.

    Hand 7:
Villain is major calling station that plays any two. I usually raise this but decided to limp since I know the calling stations will call my raise anyway and I can't push him off the hand if I whiff.
Bet less or more or is $100 good? Since he has a large range I doubted he had a great hand, plus he would bet out on the river if he thought he had a great hand as I saw him do several times.

Hand 1, bet the turn. Having checked behind, calling river is best.

Hand 2, I probably just give up and check it down after the ace flops against apparent calling stations.

    Hand 3 is standard.

Hand 4, it's probably best to fold this, but his line is incredibly bizarre.

Hand 5, I might just call here on the flop.

Hand 6, raise more preflop, check-call a reasonable bet on the river.

    Hand 7 is standard.

    Hand 8 seems good.

    Hand 9, probably fold.
  3. #3
Hand 1: Bet turn. As played I like a min-raise on the river.

Hand 2: Don't show us what he did (nice read though).

Hand 3: Fine. Too bad the J came.

Hand 4: Tough. I think I fold the river.

Hand 5: HU with position, just call the flop.

Hand 6: Eh. I think a c/c line on the river might work.

    Hand 7: Fine.

Hand 8: How often do you bet the river in such circumstances? I might check behind on the river here. If you bet it, I think that's a good amount.

    Hand 9: Not sure.
    If I had a hammer
    I'd drop in the morning
    I'd drop in the evening..
  4. #4
On Hand 5, I didn't want a scare card to come (for me or him) on the turn and kill my action. What if a spade drops on the turn? You think I can get all his chips? What if an Ace falls and he has KK or AK? Plus, if he cheks or leads the turn and I'm aggressive - he has two streets to realize I really like my hand and possibly back off. On the flop, I could have anything including a flush draw and I'm putting pressure on him to make a mistake before he can gather more information. Now if I had a read on him that he's not laying down AA/KK no matter what falls, then I can play it slower.
  5. #5
I just call because you should be able to get all his chips if he has an overpair anyways, but he might just be bluffing with A-K. It's true that a "scare card" might fall on the turn, but when the pot is huge like this, most players disregard certain scare cards and just keep betting huge in an attempt to take down the pot. Also, there's a chance he might fold an overpair when I make a play that obviously indicates I can beat one.
  6. #6
Pretend you are villain and I do this to you and you know nothing about me - if anything you know that I'm aggressive post flop. The raise isn't big so what do you put me on? What's your move with:
    AA/KK?
    AK?
    JJ?
You probably reraise or push with the PPs mentioned and call/fold with AK right?

Hand 1: Marginal pre-flop call obviously, standard postflop, though. Can't really reraise here on the river either.

Hand 2: I'd lead the flop instead, but your line does look like a monster so if he is decent I like the turn raise.

Hand 3: Another marginal preflop call, everything postflop seems ridiculously standard.

Hand 4: I might call the turn to re-evaluate the river, but the 8 is an even worse card since now any ten beats us, I'm pretty sure this is a standard fold unless you were ridiculously out of line.

Hand 5: Having played with GridDotOrg he is pretty nitty, so he probably has AA/KK/AK/JJ here. I would raise as well but I'd probably just push. He won't fold AA/KK/JJ here and your line looks like more like a draw than a monster by pushing. The min-raise kind of screams huge hand to me, but if he has an overpair or JJ he isn't folding anyhow.

Hand 6: Ehhh, I'd prefer to check call the river. He might have 33-55 so he definitely might call with a worse hand, but if he has overcards you can give him a shot to bluff as well.

    Hand 7: Standard.

Hand 8: Check behind on the river or make a small value bet, I'd definitely prefer a check behind though.

Hand 9: I'm folding here, seems like he has the flush or boat here and a minraise is rarely ever a bluff.
