Default some quick $25 NL questions

    Hello.

I just put about 4k hands in the last two days and had some quick questions before I grind out another 4k or so.

How often should I fold KK preflop? Three times I ran into AA only to unimprove and get stacked for $25+. All of this happened preflop.

Say I am BB or SB and 2 limp in (normal in $25). I hold K7o and the flop comes K-6-2 rainbow. How should I approach this hand? Should I throw out a 75 cent raise to see where I am at and fold to a reraise? If they just call do I fire a second barrel on the turn? I'm losing quite a bit of money because I flop a medicore hand from the BB/SB and then have to lay it down after getting called on the flop.

    Thanks for help.

I have run into AA 5 times in my last 50 hands and that's for usually greater than full stacks...and against loose players - not even tight ones. It happens to everyone. At 25NL, get it allin preflop all day.

If you are heads up and you hit top pair, then bet. If called I seek a cheap showdown. I usually win those. People will call with any pair and sometimes no pair. You can probably save money by not playing K7o at all - including the SB. I used to complete often, but I'm tightening up and I think it's saving me money.

Never fold KK preflop at 25nl, ever.

And the second question isn't easy to answer, I find that leading out and then check / calling a bet or two works well enough.

Never. Seriously. At 100bb deep at 25nl you are giving up a ton of value if you ever fold KK pf.

Yeah in general I like to just lead out on these flops, although a c/c line is fine too. You can also bet a little less like .50 since there's no draws out there. Just mix it up a little.

    Thanks for the replies.

I also have stopped completing a lot of my SB's unless they have good potential for a big hand. But as for "seeking a cheap showndown." How do I go about doing that?

Same scenario as above. Now say I lead out for the pot of $1 and he calls. now the pot is $3. Bet half the pot or check? If he leads out for more than half, fold?
