    Default Stacked on a Bluff

CO was a decent player. He seemed aggressive in late position, so I decided to reraise preflop.

    Full Tilt Poker
    No Limit Holdem Ring game
    Blinds: $0.10/$0.25
    6 players
    Converter

    Stack sizes:
    UTG: $27.25
    UTG+1: $28.20
    CO: $29.30
    Hero: $24.05
    SB: $26
    BB: $25

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is Button with Tc Ad
2 folds, CO raises to $1, Hero raises to $2.5, 2 folds, CO calls.

    Flop: Qs Kh 8s ($5.35, 2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $4, CO calls.

    Turn: 9h ($13.35, 2 players)
CO bets $4, Hero raises all-in $17.55, CO calls.

    River: 4c ($48.45, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: $48.45)

reraise more pre if you're going to and i'd give up after the flop. I'd leave out the result.

I know I've been out for a while, but I'm still going to call this out as stupid advice.

Very few games are so call-crazy that you can't make more money with well placed bluffs. Few of those games are online and never last long nor have much to do with stakes.

Even if you called every bet I make, I'm still going to bluff you on the cheap to make you feel good about it and validate that your behavior *might* win you money this time.

When things get all settled in favor of online gambling south of the border, be sure to stop by Pokerroom sometime to see what I'm talking about. 100NL SH is ridiculous.

i agree with fnord even when there are a lot of players who will call down with lots of hands there are still spots where you can blufff especially against tight passive nits.

I'm pretty sure Galapogos didn't mean what he said literally. He exaggerated the point to emphasis it's importance (or at least that's how I interpreted it.) And I think it's good advice - I'm definately bluffing much more than I should.

    Thanks ppl for your comments.

The definitive answer should be something like don't bluff at $25NL when the villain shows strength at any point including donk bets. Or, in short, don't bluff if it involves a re-raise.

Yup, SW London. Hi fellow Britisher! Have you heard of a Boddingtons stout, btw? They're talking about it on another thread and I wonder if it's an export only thing or whether it just doesn't come south.

Yeah, I don't think we get it in Yorkshire. I didn't notice it anywhere in Newcastle when I lived up there last year either.

Never read any stickies or announcements
I don't know if I like how any street is played here, honestly. River is good though, although you have to work on rivering your gutters.

I think preflop is fine. You could have rreraised to $3, but that wouldn't have made a big difference. Since you're repping such a narrow range you have to bet a flop like that. Since you obviously would with AK/AA and that's the hand your selling preflop.

Fold the turn. It looks like he hit his oesd. He'll call with a pair + flush.
