Is this standard?
Ok, I have been trying to take shots at 100NL for about 6 months and i've finally become a bit profitable.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (4 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)
Hero ($87.45)
Button ($280.10)
SB ($100.50)
BB ($40.25)
Preflop: Hero is UTG with 7 , 8 .
Hero raises to $4, 1 fold, SB calls $3.50, 1 fold.
Flop: ($9) 7 , 5 , 5 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $6, SB raises to $16, Hero raises to $30, SB folds.
Final Pot: $55
I've been very aggressive PF, with a wide range of hands. I'm only about 20% PF, but I'm about 18% raise with the other 2% being PP. I raise a lot even with marginal hands in the CO (to button steal) and on the button with a lot of ppl folding frustrated.
Should I be this bold with re-raises with this strong of a hand, considering my image? I don't play many hands but I play them pretty aggressively.
Or is this way too weak of a re-raise and I got lucky? Is it even worth it with such a marginal hand with little chance to improve? I sense some extent of people playing back at me, but it's been hard to pin down when they are and when they aren't. Seems like a lot to risk.
