    Default Straight-But Scary Turn $400

Stack Sizes: CO $520, Button $670.

I've got a LAGGY image and have been running over the table the last few rounds. PreFlop CO raises to $12. I call with , the SB folds and the BB calls. The Flop comes:

the BB checks, CO checks, and I decide to take a stab at it and bet the pot, BB folds and CO calls. The Turn comes the giving me a straight, but also making a flush.

    CO checks. What's my play?

bet pot cuz you have the best hand
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

    No hindsight for the blind.
Yeah, def bet again for value/protection.

If he check-raises, is it a puke and a fold or a shrug and a fold? Is it ever a call, I'm thinking with our image he might c/r semibluff with AdAx/KdKx. He'd probably put more chips in on the flop with those though.

Do we go for more value if called and checked to on a 2 river? Definitely bet again on a 5, right?

I bet the turn and don't fold

Does anyone see a check as good?

I think I check here to control the pot size. If I'm ahead, I'm likely to stay that way, but I don't like opening up the betting here when it seems very likely that my opponent could be on a flush draw, a stronger straight, or the same hand but willing to bet me off of the split.

The other benefit to checking is that I"ll probably induce a bluff from a weaker hand on the river. By checking I do commit myself to calling most reasonable bets on the river, but it will probably cost me the same as betting here and having to fold to the check raise, and will cost me less than betting here and getting called and then calling a bet on the river.

Does this make sense, or am I playing too pussyfied?

yeah, you should really bet this turn, if you get CR'd.. i'd think about a call and see what he does on a diamond/non diamond river. IE betting the diamond if he checks or folding if he fires big on a blank river
