    Default Stutter step

I'm fairly new to table, so no reads. I sometimes raise this from the CO, sometimes limp. I flop the nut flush draw on a very co-ordinated board and my draw completes on the turn, so now the task is to extract. I'm thinking that villain having a straight is a distinct possibility, perhaps a lower flush, and I don't want to make it obvious that I've hit so I decide to c/c. Valid or fancy play syndrome?

I think it's sexy, but if you put him on that strong a range, why don't you make your river bet weaker to assure you get 3 bets in instead of one?

    warpe,

Preflop this is _always_ a raise for me (you have a hand and you are in LP). As played I would certainly lead turn because I semibluffed the flop. If raised I just call and lead (probably push due to stacks) the river.

I don't like preflop. Sure, you're the CO but you're also UTG+1. If you have to open do it with a raise not a limp.

Post flop doesn't look like FPS to me, it looks like a classic semi-bluff followed by a slowplay. Its a good place to check because most people would check quite a few other hands here as well. If you play the same people a lot, this is even better.

Also, I think the button should have raised the flop. His bottom pair + bottom end gutshot SFD isn't the strongest either though so I can see him just taking one off to see what happens but still prefer a raise based on him acting behind you.

i'd fake block bet the turn, call his raise. Then fake block bet the river again and hope he raises you.

You've done an excellent job of selling the straight. It's really the only hand that makes sense given your betting pattern (well, that or 2 pair/set). I like it.

it worked this time but it seems so hard to get the most value with this line. a lot of time you'll only get a call there on the river, and a much smaller pot. i mean you have less than $20 of his money in the pot on the river, and you're trying to get it all in at the end and that is so hard. play it in a way where your river bet is more around the size of the pot. it's still gonna get looked up sometimes and other times when you don't have the flush it will get you some folds.
In answer to your question... it depends...
