Default Suieted conectors and low pocket pairs.

Do u limp or raise with these? and if u raise what do u do if u get reraised? i hate to build big pots with these hands pre flop. theres alot of arguments for raising to but i think u know them so... that was my first post, nice forum take it easy.

    Isn't this standard?

    $1/$2 No Limit Holdem
    PokerStars
    5 players
    Converted at weaktight.com

    Stacks:
    UTG ($479.95)
    CO ($266.80)
    Hero ($219.90)
    SB ($247.15)
    BB ($135.75)

    Pre-flop: ($3, 5 players) Hero is BTN
2 folds, Hero raises to $6, SB raises to $23, 1 fold, Hero raises to $75, SB folds

    Final Pot: $48

    Hero wins $100 ( won +$25 )
    SB lost -$23.00

its not really standard and if its standard for u and u risk 1/3 of ur stack with a ranged from 7-9 ur gonna get looked up very often. that was a nice move though and i suppose u had a good read on ur opponent and a tight image.

but if u had a loose image that was a pretty bad play wasnt it? i mean if he saw u as a loose player he could have moved on u there with a hand like AK or JJ right? and then u would be forced to fold and have dumped 1/3 of ur stack with 7-9 without seeing a flop.

If I had a tigher image, they wouldn't play back at me as much, hence my 4-bet range wouldn't need as much air to keep them in line...

fold without odds, but alot depends on position, villain, etc.

its not as simple as i shud raise x, and limp x, there are tons of other variables to take into account when raising or limping these marginal hands. some have already been mentioned i.e. table image, position, vilain etc, but theres alot more than just that. Only through experience will you be able to answer your own question, advice from a forum will only give you a rough overview.

yeah of course what u say is true ATOTHEC101. but still when ur multitabling shorthanded cashgame, at least i play pretty much the same preflop. not exacly the same but pretty simular. like in early position i ALWAYS raise with the big pairs and in late position i ALWAYS raise with the low pairs. i think u all got ur standard-plays pre flop. and without making a deep analyze just of the top of ur head, do u limp raise or fold with these hands?
lots of people says its fishy to limp in short handed. but is that really true? with these hands ur goal is to see a cheap flop. if u raise ur risking getting reraised and that would force u to fold. if u limp u can get raised and call with nice impla ods.

I really hate raising low PPs in early position, but everyone tells me that it's standard to do so.
