Table Selection at 200NL Party

I'm not one to sit and watch tables to figure out if they are right for my game. On party I find a table with 5 people and a pot somewhere in the middle or upper range of pot size and sit down. I have a little trouble dealing with tables that have 2+ very aggressive players but I can adjust. I just notice my profits suffer a bit. I tend to do better when I'm the most aggressive at the table.

I plan to start 200NL this week. Should I consider a different approach to table selection? I assume the higher you go, the more important? Or is it not critical on PP yet?

Yup, like gabe said...if you don't like it, just leave.

The main thing I try to look for on weekends is a high average pot size. People in there gambling it up. You'll notice more variance at tables like this, but your profits should be greater because of it.

On weeknights I try to find medium pot sizes with a few shorter stacks at the table (in the 75bb range). Players that play with less than 100bb usually aren't very good and you can exploit them pretty easily.

Aggressive players on your right, tighties on your left, yada yada...Table selection definitely matters, but there's not much difference between NL100 and NL200, at least that's what I've found out. The main difference is YOU feeling comfortable with the stakes you're playing....Once YOU are comfortable, you'll see what we mean.

Dont know about party, but at PR there appears to be some unwritten rule that at 200NL people do not fold to any bets on the flop regardless of preflop action.

keep betting until they fold. sometimes it takes more than one hand or even a few orbits but eventually, if you keep betting, they will fold.
