What is the story with peoples obcession with playing "LAGG"? Is it cooler then other styles or what?

Unless you are one of the best players on the internet, and here 'best' means you are way way way better then the people you are playing with, it will not be the most profitable style for you.

Start slow, play tight and gradually you will learn. If you jump in and try to play the style that you think is loose aggressive, you will go broke rather quickly.
