i am confused. the op never asked about the content. he asked if we trust dn to improve our poker play.

i am sorry that was too complex an answer. my answer is "yes," trust his knowledge. he DOES have the chip stack to prove that he knows how to win/manage money.

and as for the "pile theory," it is a well known way to judge whether or not to listen to somebody's advice. would i take advice from warren buffet on picking value stocks?...yes, pile theory. would i take advice from steinbrenner on building a baseball dynasty?...yes, pile theory. and so on.
Ooo-kay.

I was just mocking the maths skills.

"Pile theory" is not entirely bad. Two huges weaknesses:
i)not all who can do, can teach;
ii) really, really successful people don't always want competition.

Don't know much about DN. Tends to have sensible things to say when I've listened to him.
I'm just going to check his advice more carefully when it comes to things like pot-odds in future
