    Default Thoughts on capped games?

    I started playing .10/.25 $7 cap and .25/.50 $15 cap 6 max on FTP.

Ive played normal games but wanted to check these out. Unfortunately I have no real stats on these capped games but am up about $135 in two nights 3 or 4 tabling them.

I've found the games to be soft and have beat them pretty well the last few nights.

What are people thougts on playing these? Am I losing equity by playing capped games, i.e. not really stacking somebody completely with monsters, flopped sets etc..? I'm also saving myself from getting stacked on bad beats/misreads/coolers, but I don't really play scared poker, or don't think i do, and don't want to.

I feel people will play trash because they are not scared of losing their whole stack and thus push trash and I cap it and won many hands.

A few players would limp, then after my raise they would cap it with small pairs and then i snap call with over pairs.

Should I abandon these games? They have been quite profitable so far. Would my time be better spent playing normal games?

if its working for u and u r enjoying it, go ahead and keep doing it.

you're basically playing shortstacked poker, like 30bb or something like that, so if you are a better post flop player you are probably giving up a huge part of your edge by playing in these games.

Yeah that makes sense, but essentially everyone is short stacked, so it acts as an equalizer. But I think there is a different edge. Because the low risk the players play splashy and take really -EV risks.
