Thoughts and Questions on HU stats.

I could probably spend a little more time considering topics of discussion here, but I'll just go ahead and throw out what questions I have and assumptions I have made.

I've decided that looking at your own HU stats as a whole; no matter the sample size is relatively useless. I say this because no matter how many hands we have played our stats will never really show a single profile or style of play, but rather a collection of play against all kinds of opponents. We could certainly begin to compare stats if we wanted after a VERY large sample, but it wouldn't get us anywhere accept to see that one player or the other is more or less tight/loose than another in general. But rather, we must consider stats only relative to OTHER stats. For instance my stats against all opponents running nitty stats would show (assuming it's a very large sample) my play against this particular opponent, and likewise for all opponents running a certain "laggyness" or specific "loose passive" stats etc. The reason we could assume these stats are accurate, is because these stats are all taken from the opponent playing AGAINST our play. Whereas their stats may look much different against all of their opponents collectively.

Anyway, that was just a quick thought I figured I'd throw out there. I was also wondering about BB stats vs. BTN stats. ptbb's wise more specifically. I show an incredible difference in the two (over a relatively small sample). I'd like to hear from anyone w/ a large sample size on the topic.

well duh you're going to be profitable on the bu and probably lose money from the BB (although at 50NL I was still winning from the BB because I was playing vs. fish)

yeah, I'm like 15ptbb/100 on the BTN and BE on the BB. I was just surprised at the difference. Only like a 10K sample so that will go down I guess. I only play fish @ 50nl w/ the occasional reg that sits for a while, but I pretty much always just sit out after a few hands.

10K won't show anything really I was up on the BU AND BB over a few thousand hands
and then I was down on the BU and and up on the BB like 6K hands later

i USE TO ONLY PLAY NO LIMIT THEN I MOVED TO MINNESOTA
Now im stuck with a state that dosent allow no-limit poker only limit. At first i thought this sucks but after seeing all the money that can be made in limit i started to like it. I thin noyou cant get people out so a lot of hands will not be protected but on the other hand thats how the bankroll gets fatter and fatter are
