Time for a hero call? AA 100NL

Villain is 14/10/1.4 over folds to 3B: 57% over 987 hands. No reads.

Only reason I checked turn is because I wanted C/shove. I wanted to give him a chance to bluff at the pot with worse hands and payoff if he has AJ/AT or quads. When he checked behind on turn, I wouldn't have minded a cheap showdown and can C/C a medium sized bet. How is my turn thinking? Spewy? Whats standard on river?

Steal rate? If it's low, I can see him value betting QQ here. If it's high I just let him have it tbh.

I think you have the wrong idea about the turn. Check calling is much better than c/s the turn. As far as whether we should call here, c/f turn, or fold here... It's really tough to say. I'd probably go with a fold i kinda doubt he's vbetting worse or bluffing.

assuming he'd 4bet QQ+ and AK

stoving gives us 80% win with that range

at the widest giving him J10s, Q10s, QJo, K10s, KJo we are still 56%, and thats 9% of hands and I think his flatting range is probably only like 5%


I can't come up with many 10x combos a nit would have there. and his J combos are discounted considering we hold two of the aces.

Isnt this a clear bet on the river? If I check river, its definitely not to fold.

This looks like it is KQ/89/QQ/KK a lot. Thats a bet thats not exactly looking for a call also.

For calling I don't much like his pot sized river bet. Sure that could be a sign that it's bluffy, but I'd need history, more often it's a hand.

I also don't like the flat call on the flop. Wouldn't the hands you beat, except for maybe Jack, raise?

I think folding is the correct play.

I also don't mind check-calling a reasonable bet here; but think this river bet is too big to call, and not likely enough to be bluffy.
