We really need reads here. Im not trying to be a dink but a lot of your posts dont have any stats, notes, etc. In a hand like this reads can switch an easy call/push to an easy fold.

Against passive players Im folding this. A loose passive player could easly have a random two pair hand, while a tight passive player could easily have a set or a similar hand.

Against aggressive players it isnt as clear. Against a loose maniac I may just push here if I think he will call with worse hands. Against a better aggressive player it takes some deeper reads, turn aggression what kind of hands they are aggressive with, etc. Against a solid TAGG [which I doubt this is because its a minraise] I dont think a fold is bad here, against a lagg I may be more apt to call and push any river that doesnt complete the likely draws.

Didn't play many hands vs him, he seemed a little laggy. What do you do here on a fresh table?

I honestly think I suck at these situations and laying down TPGK, but Id probably call this [because you will see players doing this with so many hands] and check the river. On a heart or diamond river Im probably not calling a bet unless its pretty small and I think Im ahead enough to make it profitable. On a black river Im going to be calling most bets, but would be happy with a check behind.

I think a fold here isnt necessarily bad though, and I could very well be going too far with these hands.

The biggest read you need is that its 25NL, and minraises are terrifying.

And you'll probably end up facing a push on this river anyway.

i wouldnt fold to a minraise on that board. usually if he flops a set he will minraise that type of flop.

really? My (limited) experience has been that they wait to the turn.

Mine too. I think you're beat here often enough to make a fold the prudent move.

I normally fold this without a read, but it might be close. But I dont think you give up any major EV by folding, and the river can be very tricky to play in this hand

be good to have a read on villian... tough spot, basically you're in a big pot with a marginal hand and no info.
recently i've been checking the flop on these flops with TPTK / TPGK type hands. keeps the pot small and villian never puts you on TP, of course also gives the free card.
This may also be a good spot to c/r... all depends on villian.
Success is how high you bounce after hitting bottom.
