Default TPTK vs unusual line 50nl

Early into the table, villian has done nothing noteworthy. The leads came quickly, the call on turn took him a few seconds. Shove river, y/n?

Shove because his range is pretty much missed draws and Kx (along with few few QcXc) and the board blocks KQ in favour of KJ/KTs?

yeah, you explained it best yourself xtr. I'd be most worried about nitty 333 or tarped quads but either than that we're so far ahead and ppl can make dumb calls with Kx putting you on a missed FD.

You guys forgot 55-TT he can also call with putting you on a missed draw.

Call me an idiot, but I'm not seeing our line as being super-drawy and while there are very few combos that beat us, I'm not convinced there are enough combos that we beat that will also pay us off that it's +EV to shove.

I certainly think some of villains 44-TT (JJ/QQ) and maybe Kx hands could have folded to the turn raise.

However, if I am an idiot and our line is an obvious line to pick with a draw then I completely see the reasoning behind the shove. I still don't think there's a ton of EV there though, as many hands we are now hoping to get value from could (imo - and yeah I'm an idiot) have folded to the turn raise.

Edit note: Oh yeah, timing tells. Very quick acting means it's a very easy decision so I'd think he's more likely to be very strong (33/22) or very weak (draw) than having a hand of medium strength (Kx) where he might have spent a little more time on his decision.

yeah timing definitely has an influence. But in analyzing this hand in this medium, I really think we're only worried about 1 hand, KQ that doesn't shove river worried about AA or whatever and the rest are his missed draws + worse hands.

One thing I don't think discussed is betting a lot smaller than a jam, like 1/3 pot to get called by a wider range and sometimes induce a shove from his bricks.

I would only push the river if I had been playing so aggro that people will probably start looking me up light. Otherwise I am more inclined to do a block bet, but if he jams over it then I think we have to fold 100% (people don't bluff check/raise the river all that often at 50NL) so maybe a check is best afterall.

Considering the stack sizes and your turn raise, the small blind is going to shove a monster right then and there; not smooth call the raise and check the river. You should feel comfortable betting out on the river. He will probably fold his missed draw, however. Worst case scenario is KQ, but I think that it's unlikely he checks the river after improving to top 2 pair.
