Default two hands. river overbets. they bluffing or do they got it?

i flop the straight. he could be calling my flop bet with a flush draw so the turn scared me a little. don't know about opponent.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver Cards)

    BB ($25.05)
    UTG ($31.10)
    MP ($23.95)
    CO ($40.90)
    Button ($44.85)
    Hero ($23.90)

Preflop: Hero is SB with , .
1 fold, MP calls $0.25, 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.75, BB calls $0.50, MP calls $0.50.

    Flop: ($2.25) , , (3 players)
Hero bets $1.5, BB folds, MP calls $1.50.

    Turn: ($5.25) (2 players)
Hero bets $2.5, MP calls $2.50.

    River: ($10.25) (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets $19.2 (All-In)

second hand. my jack is kinda weak. this guy has seemed pretty aggressive making 16x raises preflop and whatnot. so check/calling me two streets seemed weird.

1: You need to b/f something like halfpot on river so that lots of worse hands will call but flushes will raise. As played, cry, cry more, cry more, roll around in your tears for a bit, make tear curry and cry in it a bit for extra spice, eat said curry and then throw up and cry in the puke and then fold.

I call both but I'm way more inclined to fold the 2nd one than the first.

could you elaborate if you don't mind. do you feel like the river could have made his hand in the second hand or that he may have been ahead the whole time with a better jack or some shit. and why are you more inclined to call the bigger overbet in the first hand?

I fold both, in the long run the amount of times I play hero against an unknowns weird river line it's usually a losing play. At these lmits anyway.

Also, in the first hand you really shouldn't be raising these kinds of hands from the SB, you'll have the worst possible position for the rest of the hand. As played, I would bet the flop and turn bigger, if he calls both those, I feel a lot better about a river c/f.

And in the second hand I usually bet both streets a little larger. Your line's not bad though because it's an intimidating board so you might string a weak Q along, and if someone else has a jack, you basically lost the least as you're not really beating any other ones.

again, why are we betting so WEAK?

hand one. $2 on flop. then, $5ish on turn and fold to raise. c/c river with tears in my eyes?

hand two. $1 minimum on flop. start betting like you want a stack here. you do, dont you? you have AA dead to rights.

hand one i bet the turn a little weak cause i was thinking he would raise if he had the flush and depending on raise size i could maybe get out of the hand. or whatever.

hand two i kinda wanted to look weak so a queenx hand would feel comfortable or even strong.

cool. just as long as you had a logical reason. but, at 25NL, watch the FPS. it usually lands you in more trouble by either missing value or inviting a suckout.
