two sets OOP vs a very good player

For those that dont know he seems to be amongst the top 3 playrs on pacific. He's not that tricky but a really good hand reader. My image in his eyes is probably quite Taggy but he's seen me do some crazy shit too, mostly PF though.

leading the flop seems better in hand one

maybe a 1/2 pot blocking bet in hand 2 (if he's a good player he'll put you on 55,66,88 a weak nine or a flush draw and he might even raise you with air)

yep i think you should call and lead the turn for 1/2 pot in hand 2, in hand one i think your river bet is too big if he is that good of a hand reader-it really looks like youve got a set and if you get any action he probably has you pwned.

i don't play close to these stakes but penguin every time I've seen you post a set hand you always checkraise?

1) I like to lead the flop. What was your plan on the turn? Were you trying to c/r again?

2) Raising the flop conceals your hand better does it not?

I dont always check-raise, just posting the hands that I have played bad or weird.

I was going for a double CR but I guess that given the board it was a bad idea. (its better with an obvious draw, that missed)

My line vrs phatigue is to bet hard from the time I hit...he has called me down quite a lot of time. But then I withdrew my money from there after loosing 7 of the 12k I made the past 3 weeks...Like u said he is rarely tricky and while a good hand reader he has lost a few k to me calling me down with top pair. Ie I would not check raise...I'd go ahead and just raise...

you took the lines that a really good hand reader will see as strong hands. maybe you should try making bluffs like these more vs him.

if he's a really good hand reader then check/call check/raise is a bad line since that's never speculative.

I'd lead with top set when the PFR checks to you.

He's starting to play quite nitty and I have been bluffing him a ton lately.

I was playing nl1k against you Aquinas and IMO you were playing way too loose. Not sure how you normally play though.
