    Default unknown villain, strange action.

Good fold, right? 3x river raises are never bluffs.

looks like he has a piece and is just betting value. He may have had Ax and the Q gave him the kicker he needed. IF he has a 7 so be it, make a note that he slow plays and move on. He should have went for more value. $8 on this river will give you enough info to not call him unknown anymore.

Bet turn and bet river hard. The flop check is fine for "pot control." But once he checks behind you can safely bet the turn for value. When the Q comes, you're kicker is nullified. But if he has an A too, so is his. So, you can bet something like pot or maybe even a little over and hopefully he'll be nitty (although it wouldn't be that nitty by him) enough to fold. If he doesn't you split anyways. If he raises he obviously has a 7.

As played the river is a fold.

I thought AJ was a fold or raise type hand. Anyone?

For me OOP it almost always is, but table dynamics or a type of player can sometimes change that.
