Default Value bet / check turn? Shortstack shove - 25NL.

Villain is 60/28/1 over aboutr 50 hands, no other info on him. Should I be betting this turn for value? As played, how much do you raise to on river?

I checked turn to suggest I didnt like the ace, hoping he'd bet the river, which he did. But is there more value in me betting?

    $0.1/$0.25 No Limit Holdem
    5 players
    Converted at weaktight.com

    Stacks:
    Hero ($26.30)
    CO ($24.65)
    BTN ($25.20)
    SB ($33.95)
    BB ($33.20)

    Pre-flop: ($0.35, 5 players) Hero is UTG
Hero raises to $1, 3 folds, BB calls $0.75

    Flop: ($2.1, 2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.5, BB calls $1.5

    Turn: ($5.1, 2 players)
    BB checks, Hero checks

    River: ($5.1, 2 players)
BB bets $3, Hero raises to $9.5, BB folds

    Final Pot: $11.10

    Hero wins $17.1 ( won +$5.1 )
    BB lost -$5.50

Hand 2 - No hand history for this, but heres the situation:

Unknown buys into 25NL table with $5, he posts BB from UTG+1 and then open shoves.
Table all folds and he shows K8s.
Next hand he open shoves again, and you are in the big blind - it folds round to you, what range are you calling with?

    Cheers guys

Hand one, yes vs. those stats bet turn, when he has better we're just building a pot with our nut draw as well which is nice.

Hand 2, my range depends hugely on how many players are left to act.
