    Default very nitty theoretical question

I know this is kind of a stupid question, but it happens to me enough at low stakes that I thought I would ask.

If I'm in a situation against somebody on a board that reads K K 10 10 5, or 10 J Q K x, and I have the nuts, and somebody keeps betting into me, im pretty sure they have the nuts as well.

My question then is, is it worth just calling to save money against the rake?

Rake is capped at a max per hand, so in a split situation you're usually still farther ahead calling and recovering your share of the pot, with a small loss to rake as opposed to the bigger loss of giving up on the pot.

In these many situations, it is ideal to raise and not worry about the rake because there will be situations that come up where they donk call with set/2pr that makes it worth it in the long run.

I used to think that this might be a good idea, so I'd just flat call on KJQTx boards, but I saw 9s indtead of what I assumed would definately be an ace too often to worry about the rake vs villain being an idiot.
