What do you do with your winnings?
I play 10/20NL up to 100/200NL regularly, whether it be live or online. I like 15/30 limit the best though, it's just my game. Over the past 5 years I have become quite profitable. My BR started out at $50 on PacificPoker and has grown to a little over 800k that I use just for poker. I've stashed quite a bit a away also.
While my roll was building, I always had a back up plan. I started a few businesses, two failed, one is succeeding well. In a few years I expect my business income to far exceed my poker income. Then what do I do? Stop playing? Play for "fun"? The business I have developed has huge residual income, which means I have to work far less each year as I have a steady income stream coming in.
Not real sure where I am going with this. Just wondering what other people have done with their winnings. Stash a lot away for security? Stocks? Keep playing with it all? Do nothing? I would highly suggest though to anybody that is worried about their future to start a business. That is why I started mine and it is worth all the hard work.
It feels like poker is going to soon become a thing of the past for me. Never wanted fame, never wanted anybody to know me. Just make a bunch of money since I came from nothing (literally).
Any thoughts? (If you can decipher me switching thoughts through 3 paragraphs).
